Summary:

Provides support for the company's desktop hardware and software platform. Support areas include, but are not limited to, personal computers, printers, software applications, helpdesk, and Local Area Network server support. Incumbent must be able to handle a large user base.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Desktop/laptop support for 300+ users
  • Installation and troubleshooting for Windows XP 7, 8, 8.1, 10
  • Office 2007, Office 2010, Office 2013, Office 2016 support
  • VPN support
  • Support of remote users
  • Maintenance of Active Directory - unlocking users, making profile changes and information updates
  • Provide PC hardware and software support for user community
  • Installation of new PCs, peripheral hardware and system upgrades
  • Troubleshoot network printing
  • Manage system images and distribute upgraded system images to remove facilities
  • Support for LAN and email infrastructures
  • Special projects, as assigned
  • On call 24 hours, 7 days a week for any and all production or systems problems or questions
  • Perform other duties, as required, in support of the department's goals

 

Qualifications:

  • Remote user and VPN support background
  • Basic network understanding with switching and wireless
  • Desktop/laptop imaging understanding
  • Strong anti-virus understanding and experience troubleshooting virus issues
  • Active Directory background
  • Warehouse management experience with RFID guns and wireless printers

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent desktop/systems support experience required
  • 1-2 years of "hands-on" experience with SCCM
  • A+, Network + certification preferred
  • Experience with Dell hardware (i.e. desktop, laptop, etc.)
  • Windows 7, Windows 10, Apple, Microsoft Office 2010/2013
  • MCSA or MCSE Certification desired
  • Microsoft Access/SQL database experience desired
  • Microsoft SharePoint Server, web development experience desired

Work Environment:

While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office and manufacturing plant environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and photocopiers, small products and parts. This is a full-time position, however, work outside normal business hours may occur.
