Promote & facilitate the successful implementation of Colfax Business System (CBS) tools and processes across ESAB Denton plant operations by conducting sustainable continuous improvement events to support the organizations top priorities.


  • This position is instrumental in developing and executing the CBS and Lean principals in plant operations.  
  • It will significantly impact ESAB's ability to be best in class operational partner to customers and distributors in NA. 
  • This position is also instrumental in developing the skill base and CBS culture of our Operations associates to carryout policy deployment and other critical goals and objectives.


  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and develop on-site associates in the area of CBS tools such as 5S, Process Improvement, Material Flow (kanban/pull systems), Lean Line Design, PFEP, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Counter Measure, and other CBS Lean Tools to drive organizational change.
  • Be the lean thinking conscience of the organization.
  • Support Policy Development objectives using a team based kaizen approach.
  • Assist in achieving Denton Plant KPI targets of Safety, Quality, On Time Shipment, Inventory Optimization, and Cost objectives.
  • Assist leadership in the development of a CBS Lean Transformation Roadmap and support the execution.
  • Work with the department leaders to develop and maintain a Kaizen funnel.
  • Chair monthly kaizen planning meetings and support facilitation of the Denton strategic plan.
  • Schedule, facilitate and ensure productive Kaizen events.
  • Facilitate training of processes and development of new standard work with associates.
  • Drive kaizen action plan items to completion & track sustainment.
  • Drive ever-improving results by leveraging CBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process.
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other waste throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them.
  • Promote and facilitate associate development in various CBS tools.   Spread the word.
  • Benchmark and communicate "Best Practices" within the ESAB Organization.  Find best practices in other markets/groups and bring the solutions to Denton.
  • Work with IT, HR, Finance, Planning, Purchasing, DC's and Customer Service to assure new processes are cross functional and support the whole business. 



  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience in Lean and or Six Sigma problem solving techniques and tools to transform plant operations.
  • Excellent communication, meeting and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively drive change and influence others in the organization.
  • 4 Year degree (Engineering or Supply Chain Management Preferred) advanced degree desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lean Leader.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Training or coaching experience of Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Excellent writing and administrative skills including basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office and manufacturing plant environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and photocopiers, small prodicts and parts. This is a full-time position, however, work outside normal business hours may occur.
